Blackpool's Flag Happy!

Our forum members have been busy over the last week or two - in trying to organise the purchase of a huge flag for future Blackpool fixtures. However, they need your help.

Mick Page - who has been instrumental in the organisation of events such as the derby day re run for charity - is heading the project. Whilst they do have some initial ideas your support would be a fantastic help.

The flag is looking to be around 15m x 10m, and situated in the North Stand at home games - with its first outing hopefully against Wolves in front of the Sky cameras.

Finances are going to be crucial, with the latest quote running well into the thousands, so it is hoped that fans can pledge small amounts each to help this run smoothly.

And Mick is hoping to meet with the Chairman Karl Oyston sometime soon to discuss the possibility of buying such a flag.

Opinions are very much welcome: do you want a flag? Would it be beneficial for the club to have one? Is it a bad idea?!

What design do you want for the flag?

Do you have any funding ideas?

Do you want to donate money?

To discuss your ideas further, it is best to either email Mick at seasiders1956@fsmail.net, or simply personal message pickering_hat_trick on our forum.
