'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool Blog

On the pitch:
A behind closed doors game was organised by Pool boss Simon Grayson to give his fringe players a run out. Blackpool drew 1-1 with Burnley with Joe Martin scoring for the Seasiders. The game gaves the likes of McPhee, Baptiste, Coid and Fox a much needed fitness boost.

Meanwhile Pool midfielder David Vaughan was an unused substitute for Wales in their 2-0 win over Liechtenstein.

Off the pitch:
The Seasiders were given a cash boost with the announcement that Sky Sports will be covering our home game with Wolves. The match will now kick off at 7.45pm on Monday 29th December.

Camara to extend his stay
Mo Camara's loan spell with Blackpool will be extended into a third and final month. The left back has started all of Pool's Championship fixtures this season and has provided good cover for the injured Stephen Crainey.

Media frenzy
Last Wednesday was dubbed 'Media day' at Bloomfield Road with the squad posing for their team photo. The sponsors were also on hand to share in the limelight. The club's new third strip was unveiled, a cheeky little tangerine and black number, but much better than the one we got hammered 5-0 in by QPR all those years ago!.

Best thread on the forum:
I've got to go for the debate earlier in the week about Dean Windass and whether he would be a good signing for Blackpool, not that we will be getting him of course! Even at 56, or however old he is, surely he would stick the ball in the net for us?
