On the pitch:
Two contrasting performances and results on the road for the Seasiders' this week. The meagre showing at Burnley resulting in a 2-0 loss on Tuesday was the exact opposite of yesterday's dominant deserved vicotry at Birmingham. Gary Taylor-Fletcher well taken strike in the 47th minute was enough to condemn the Blues' to their first defeat of the season; a result that will surely be Pool's best this season.

Off the pitch:
Good news on the injury front with long term absentees Stephen Crainey and Steve McPhee back in light training for the Tangerines. Though don't expect them to be in first team action for a while yet.

Sponsors
It's bye bye to Floors 2-Go and hello to JD Sports' Carbrini brand. Carbrini's name will grace the Tangerine shirt for the remainder of this season. What a debut the news shirts had at St. Andrews yesterday! Let's hope that will be a good omen for this season.

Best thread on the forum:
'A message for Larry' posted by Platos shortly after the Burnley beating. A fair assessment of the formation issue which came from the game. I wonder if Larry read Platos' words of wisdom as I think he got the tactics spot on at St. Andrews!

Well, we're 10th in the league and just a point off those play-off places. I think it's time to make hay while the sun shines!
