'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Focus on the departed

Andy Morrell
The popular frontman has made an instant impression at his new club Bury. Mozza scored in the Shakers' 3-1 win at Chesterfield. He is partnering Pool target Andy Bishop in attack for Bury - a combination that could have been wearing Tangerine this season.

Marcus Bean
The young midfielder is back in his native London playing for Brentford in League Two.

Michael Jackson and Grant Holt
Shrewsbury has become the number one club for ex- Pool players. Paul Simpson is the manager and he has Michael Jackson, Grant Holt and Richard Walker in his ranks. Jacko has started all three league games so far as has Holt who has also scored twice. Shrewsbury sit top of League Two and look a good bet to win promotion this season.

Michael Flynn and Keigan Parker
Another club with a clutch of old Pool boys is Huddersfield Town. Midfielder Michael Flynn has started all three games for Stan Ternent's side but Parker has managed just one substitute appearance in a home defeat to the MK Dons. Huddersfield have made a poor start and sit second bottom in League One. Robbie Williams, scorer at Wembley for Pool along with Parker, has made two starts so far this season for the Yorkshiremen.

Paul Dickov
Many believe the frontman should have been lining up for Pool again this season but ultimately it just wasn't to be. Instead he joined Leicester where he has yet to break into the starting eleven with three sub appearances to his name in League One.

Wes Hoolahan
The Irishman has started three games for Norwich so far, including the draw against Pool at Carrow Road. It was from Hoolahan's corner that the Canaries equalized.

Kaspars Gorkss
The Latvian has made two league starts for Iain Dowie's QPR. He will hope to be in the Rangers side when Pool visit Loftus Road at the end of September.

John Hills and Phil Doughty
Local lads Hillsy and Doughty are both with Fleetwood Town this year and so far they have both been involved in the first team. Hills was sent off in Fleetwood's defeat against Hyde recently.

The whereabouts of Lewis Edge, Paul Tierney, Phil Marsh and Andy Welsh remain a mystery. Hopefully they will get fixed up with something soon.

well done paul, great choice going to leicester. if u did it for the money, then shame on u and i hope ur career plummets and u dont get ur coaching badges. if ur agent sold leicester to u then all i can say is he's sold u down the river mate.
