'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Northern Ireland opponents revealed

There was a bit of a gap in the pre-season fixture list but it`s been filled with two games in Northern Ireland.

On the 24th, Thursday, Pool will take on Ballymena United at the Ballymena Showgrounds. Ballymena finished 6th (12 teams in the league) in the Irish Premier League last season. (Being renamed to IFA Premiership for the 2008-09 season)

Two days later on the 26th, Saturday, Pool face Bangor F.C. at Clandeboye Park the kick off at 3:00PM. Bangor finished 3rd in the Irish First Division last season but have been promoted to the new IFA Premiership which starts this coming season.

Ballymena United should be the stronger test with former Saints Alan Blayney in goal and former a Ranges / Celtic trainee Kevin Kelbie (49 goals in 104 appearances).
