Baptiste Is Third Signing Of The Day

Baptiste Is Third Signing Of The Day

Farewell June, hello July! Or so it would seem judging by the amount of incoming transfer activity at Blackpool today. First it was Stephen Crainey, then Claus Jorgensen ..and now a new signing..Alex Baptiste from Mansfield Town, who has joined the Seasiders for an undisclosed fee on a two year deal, with the option for a further year.

Baptiste is a 22 year old versatile defender who certainly fits the Simon Grayson criteria for transfer targets, seeing as he " was hungry to come, wants to prove he can make the step up to the Championship, and is the right age. " During his time at The Stags he played in over 170 League games, netting 5 goals.

All at Blackpool Vital wish Alex the very best for his career at Bloomfield Road, and hope he is the first of an impressive influx of new signings this month.
