Blackpool Retained List Announced

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson has sprung one or two surprises in his retained list for next season, which was announced earlier today.

The details in full are :-

Already Under Contract : Rachubka, Southern, Evatt, McPhee, Green, Hoolahan, Taylor-Fletcher, Fox, Barker.

Options activated for further year : Burgess, Coid, Crainey, Gorkss, Kay, D'Agostino.

New contract offer : Morrell, Jorgensen, Wiles.

Released : Jackson, Parker, Hills, Tierney, Doughty, Welsh, Bean, Edge, Flynn, Lawlor, Marsh.

Larry has also made decisions on several of the club's second year scholars.

Offer of 6 month professional contract : Dominic Merrella, Ross Lloyd.

Released : Stefan Laird, Alex Smith, Dale Warburton, Kyle Clancy and Danny Penswick.

Blackpool Vital would like to place on record our thanks to those players who will be leaving for pastures new for all their endeavours during their careers at Blackpool FC, and wish them well in their futures away from Bloomfield Road.

Best of luck to Jacko for the future, been a good servant to the club. Best of luck to the others leaving as well and thanks for the contributions that they've made during their times here. Lastly, I hope that Wilesy has been offered a new deal because Larry wants him to stay and not because we're trying to get a good fee for him.

I see GTF is still under contract for next season. What sort of season has he had he was a great favourite at Sincil Bank, he has done well for himself he was languishing in Orients reserves when Lincoln signed him.
