Clubs Warned Off Taylor

Oldham Athletic managing director Simon Corney has today sent out a message to all clubs tracking Chris Taylor to look elsewhere for their summer signings, after stating that 'We have no intention of selling Chris Taylor'.

Blackpool have been one of a number of clubs rumoured to be after the 21 year old midfielder, who has two years to run on his existing contract at Boundary Park, a deal he signed 12 months ago.

Taylor has been an ever present in the Latics team this year, chipping in with five goals and eight assists in a team which has struggled for large parts of the season.

He signed for Athletic as a trainee and made his debut in 2005, but although having an affinity with the club, the winger is ambitious and would surely love a move to a Championship club - what the Pool will stay come Sunday!

Personally, I have always thought he was a good player, very direct as he runs at the fullback; a perfect replacement for the inevitable sale of Wes Hoolahan?
