Belokon Here To Stay?

Speaking to local press, Blackpool manager Simon Grayson has stated that he believes President Valery Belokon will stay beyond his three year tenure at Bloomfield Road - which runs out next season.

Both Grayson and Chairman Karl Oyston have met with Belokon this week, and the manager said: 'Everyone has been questioning where he has been in the last few months and questioning his desire to be at the football club, but it has never been in doubt to me. He is fully committed to the club.

He was at the West Brom game on Tuesday and I spoke to him then, but Karl and I went to London to meet him earlier in the week.'

Does this mean more funds for next season? Not yet, according to Larry, because of the Seasiders precarious position in The Championship, but it looks like budget talks will begin once our safety is secured.

'He is a very busy person but we had a chance to get together and had a real good chat about things. Obviously we are trying to plan for next year but until we are safe in the division we can't take those plans too far forward at the moment.

There were no specific figures mentioned regards a budget for next season. It was just a general chat on how he wanted us to try to progress next year.

It was a good chat we had, very positive and that's all you can do without getting too far ahead of yourselves'
stated the manager, who is looking for one final victory to seal Championship status for another season on Saturday against Cardiff City.
