Deadly Dickov

Paul Dickov continued his fine start to his Blackpool career with one of the two best scores for strikers in this week`s Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Coca-Cola Championship.

On-loan Dickov earned 45 points in the defeat of Charlton, climbing 58 places to 256th overall as a result, and was only surpassed by team-mate Gary Taylor-Fletcher who rose 54 places to 113th with a 50-point haul.

Dickov`s Actim Index stats make impressive reading since making his debut at the start of February. He has earned 130 points from five appearances, his total during that time beaten only by current Index leader Liam Lawrence who has scored 139.

Defender Kaspars Gorkss was the highest-scoring defender on the Index, scoring 39 points against the Addicks.

Analysis of all Championship games is taking place throughout the season and so far the top five Blackpool players are:

Player/Ranking/Position Ranking/Index Score

Paul Rachubka, 28th, 5th Ranked Goalkeeper, 390 points

Shaun Barker, 32nd, 8th Ranked Defender, 382

Wes Hoolahan, 50th, 15th Ranked Midfielder, 355

Kaspars Gorkss, 76th, 26th Ranked Defender, 329

Stephen Crainey, 82nd, 27th Ranked Defender, 326

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.
