Gorkss And Macca in Team Of The Week

Central defender Kaspars Gorkss and striker Stephen McPhee have both been included in the Championship Team Of The Week after their goalscoring exploits against Charlton Athletic.

For Gorkss it signalled a welcome return to form in his comeback game after being sent off at Hull City.

And McPhee's selection is equally justified as he opened his goal account for the Seasiders in a game where his non stop front running caused the visitors defence all kinds of trouble all afternoon.

I can't believe that 1 scrappy goal from McPhee was good enough to get him in the team of the week. Glad to see him off the mark for you guys though.

With respect, that is a very simplistic view of why he was in the CCC team of the week. It wasn't "that one scrappy goal" which was "good enough to get him in the team of the week". Watching the entire match rather than seeing a few seconds highlights showing his goal on tv would have shown why he was included.
