'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool's Finest: RightBack

As we search for the greatest 'Pool team from the last 50 years, we have installed a right back, and next is the centre halves.

A fortnight ago we asked who you, the Blackpool public, thought was our best 'keeper since 1957 out of our select three, Jimmy Armfield, Marvin Bryan and Dave Hockaday.

Well, there was only one winner! Current vice president of the club, Jimmy Armfield polled a huge 77% of the vote, and was the clear winner. The former England international has recently been recovering from cancer, which is brilliant news for everyone in and around the club and of course, his family.

Marvin Bryan received 15%, and Hockaday only 8% - but all three were great servants to the club.

The team currently looks like this:
Goalkeeper - John Burridge
RightBack - Jimmy Armfield

In the Centre Back positions, the following you're able to vote for on the side of your screen:

Glyn James

Peter Suddaby

Paul Hart

Stan McEwan

Peter Clarke

Colin Methven
