Blackpool's Finest: Goalkeeper

Blackpool's Finest: Goalkeeper

As we search for the greatest 'Pool team from the last 50 years, we have installed a goalkeeper, and next is the right back.

A fortnight ago we asked who you, the Blackpool public, thought was our best 'keeper since 1957 out of our select three, Steve Banks, Iain Hesford and John Burridge.

The eventual winner was John Burridge, with a huge 76% of the vote. In second was 90's legend Steve Banks with 16%, and in third Iain Hesford gained just 8%.

SeasideEssexXile wrote a piece about Burridge some weeks ago, which can be found at this link: John Burridge - 'Pool legend.

Greatest Blackpool team (1957 - 2007):
Burridge
RB - CB - CB - LB
RM - CM - CM - LM
ST - ST

Now we have found a goalkeeper, we turn our attention to the Right Back position and after asking the forum members who they feel deserves to be in the top three, we have come up with a list looking like this:
Jimmy Armfield
Marvin Bryan
Dave Hockaday

Profiles on all three fullbacks shall be written and put up on the front page so that you can decide who is the greatest Right Back that has graced Bloomfield Road over the last 50 years.
