Men In Black - Mike Dean

Men In Black - Mike Dean

The Premiership referee, Mike Dean took charge of his first Blackpool game on Saturday, but how did he do?

Dean scored an average of 2.6 from our forum members, and here are the pick of the comments:

'I thought he was very poor. Missed loads of shirt tugging and little digs.

He spoke to Evatt after he was barged into for Gods sake!
Wes was impeded every time he got the ball.

Most definately the Dingles 12th man.'

'Didn't notice him that much in truth, and although his liners didn't help him at all at times, I'll give him a 4.

No bookings in a derby game, he did a good job.'

'I think he missed too many fouls and then made some decisions which just didn't make any sense. At least he let us have the two goals, some refs might have not given the pen and pulled up burgess for a foul on the keeper.'

'He missed to many fouls especialy on Barker. There were other issues like players taking their shirt of after scoring (not that I agree they should get booked for that but we should have consistancy).

So I give him one point for keeping his cards in his pocket and one for getting the pen right.'

The man in black for tomorrow's game against Sheffield United will be Chris Foy, who refereed our FA Cup fixture with Norwich last season, scoring a poor 1.75 from our members.
