Shrimpers in Carling Cup

Shrimpers in Carling Cup

The draw, made earlier today, paired Pool with Steve Tilson's Southend. The game, which is expected to take place on Tuesday September 25th, should let the Bloomfield faithful welcome the return home of Clarkey, our former saviour. The tie gives the Seasiders' a real chance to progress further in a competition that has rarely seen us impress.

Meanwhile, Pool's home fixture against Cardiff City has been brought forward 24 hours to Friday 2nd Novemeber, kick off 7.45pm. The reason for this being a request from the Police who will supposedly have their hands full with Blackburn's match with Liverpool at Ewood Park on the Saturday.
