Blackpool DDay: Summary
So it seems that we won't be seeing any more permanent arrivals at Bloomfield Road until the January window - if any join at all.
The window for transfers is now firmly shut, locked and the key hidden for another 3 months while the loan window remains slightly ajar for those teams still wanting to strengthen their squads in the meantime.
All in all, today's proceedings were rather disappointing in many eyes with just the one signing to talk of.
Andy Welsh comes to the Seaside after a spell in America playing the good old game of 'soccer' for Toronto FC. The former Sunderland man will add further competition to both right wing and left wing spots in the side, having played most of his career on the left hand side, he also played in the right wing berth at Toronto and Leicester where he spent some time on loan.
The only other bit of news to be reported is that trialist and former Manchester United forward, Phil Marsh, is set to sign a 1 year deal with the option for a further year any time soon, something I am personally pleased with.
No last minute drama at the fax machine tonight at Bloomers, with secretary Matt Williams confirming that bids are still in for players and there may well be some additions before the game with rivals Burnley at Turf Moor. Whether those signings come to fruition...remains to be seen.
