Men In Black

League One debutant referee, M Haywood took charge of Blackpool`s 2-1 win over Port Vale on Saturday and our members on the forum have been busy voting what they thought of him.

A consistent low score given by all meant that the consensus of opinion is that he had a poor game.

In the first half, Haywood didn`t really do much wrong. It was in the second period that he had a shocker, pulling up both sets of players needlessly and preventing the game from flowing. Not only did he fail to let the game flow, but made awful decisions in the process!

However, many Blackpool supporters have bemoaned the handball for the Vale penalty wrong, as the ball quite clearly hit Tierney`s hand on the TV replays.

The referee awarded 10 fouls against The Seasiders but didn`t give any cautions out.
