Saint Gillett

The Sun today reported that Blackpool and Bournemouth are fighting for the signature of Southampton's Simon Gillett.

Both clubs are interested, and willing to pay a fee for the highly rated midfielder.

Gillett has a problem however. He has to decide whether to:

a)Stay at Saints and try to battle into their first team, with no guarantees.

b)Move to Bournemouth and be in somewhat of a comfort zone near his home, but in a poor league position in a declining side.

Or option c)move to a team on the up, Blackpool, but having to up root to the north west, miles away from home at an early age.

Having been at both clubs on loan this season, Gillett will have a very good idea who has the better management and the team that are going places, whereas the other hasn't and is not. It doesn't seem a hard choice put like that, but uprooting could be the main decision behind a move to The Cherries.

Oi, who says we are a declining side? Yes we have had recent poor form but despite that we have still only lost 4 more games then yourselves. Gillett has also said on many occasions to the Southampton press that there isn't much in the quality of the two sides but you went on an early run where as we stumbled after losing our manager. Don't start struggling with bigclubitus just because for once your at the top of the league instead of yo-yoing between this league and league 2
