Is that Santa? No it’s Owen

After a long absent from the public Owen Oyston has stepped into the breach with a rallying call to get a few more faces down to Bloomfield Road over the festive period, with the hope of raising some extra cash for the looming January transfer period.

Oyston who recently returned to the estate agent business after a twenty year absence, has agreed to treble any gate receipts if the home support is over 4000, the Seasiders last two home gates have been 5,069 against Tranmere and 4,326 for the Bournemouth match.

The money from this will go towards transfer funds for manager Simon Grayson, also any donations from fans will be also added to this fund. Other requests from the club to fans have been to consider buying a discount half season ticket as a Christmas present, bringing family and friends to the next home match against Oldham and also renting out an executive box.

Hopefully this and a rallying called by Owen’s son, chairman Karl on BBC radio Lancashire this week will spring the fans to a little bit of extra support over what will be a tough run of games for the Seasiders.
