Transfer News - Evatt Set To Stay?

In the Blackpool Gazette, defender Ian Evatt has stated that a deal for him to remain at Bloomfield Road is very close.

The rock at the centre of a very tight Seasiders defence said 'Simon has told me that things are close to getting sorted which is great news because I want to stay here and be a part of Blackpool's push for promotion.'

A deal would have to be concluded very quickly as Evatt's current loan deal expires after the away game on New Years Day at Chesterfield.

'I've got a house in the area, I'm settled here and I'm looking forward to playing football at Bloomfield Road for the next few months at least.'

The QPR man also had this to say: 'Ideally I'd like to come here permanently but if it's an extended loan that keeps me here until May then I'll take it.'

A deal is yet to be finalised however.
