Access Restricted!

A reminder on the clubs official site says that fans of both Carlisle and Blackpool should allow more time to get inside Bloomfield Road on Boxing Day.

This is due to the match being close to a sell out, but also due to restriction of access. This is because the council have cordoned off some of the streets around Bloomers, due to unwelcome visitors over the Christmas period. This is called "operation aegis".

Aegis obviously in Greek mythology meaning the shield of Zeus. However, in modern time, it signifies the protection of something - meaning the streets surrounding Bloomfield Road. This will make some supporters journeys longer, so they have to allow themselves more time.
