Fernandez Signs…Plus Wilkinson!

Young Nottingham Forest defender, Vincent Fernandez has signed on loan until January, along with Stokes 20 year old full back, Andy Wilkinson.

Manager Simon Grayson beat the 5pm deadline with moments to spare.

The moves have come about after the news that full back Marc Joseph will be out for eight weeks.

Fernandez - a Frenchman - has already been out on loan this term, as he spent a short time down in Wycombe playing for Paul Lambert`s Wanderers.

It is thought the 20 year old is very highly thought of by Colin Calderwood, and needs the experience of going out to another team for a period of time before breaking into the Forest side.

Wilkinson has been out on loan to a few clubs. The Englishman has spent time at Telford United, Partick and Shrewsbury.

Both can play right back, or in the centre of defence.

We still expect midfielder Gareth Farrelly to sign on a month to month contract before tomorrows clash against Tranmere Rovers.
