Gillett Swaps Seasides

Gillett had a successful loan spell at Bloomfield Road earlier this season, and The Seasider's are hoping to make a move for him on a longer deal in the January transfer window.

A loan move to Dean Court may dash Simon Grayson's hopes of signing Gillett due to location issues. However, the young midfield player might be just keeping himself fit ahead of a move to Blackpool in two months time.

Speaking to the Daily Echo Kevin Bond said...
'Hopefully we should be able to secure Simon tomorrow.

'There are one or two financial things to iron out and subject to them being sorted out, we should have him on board for Saturday.

'He's somebody who is in demand at this level. He's played regularly and done well at this level and fits into our scheme of things. I think he could strengthen and improve us.'

It is thought that Gillett is a straight replacement for winger, Franck Songo'o, who rejoined Portsmouth today after a loan spell of a month.

I think he's more of a replacement for Wade Elliott who we lost years ago and never replaced!
