Livi coming to town

The game is scheduled to take place on 28th July 7.45pm a Friday night and will be the only home friendly this season.

It was thought that no home friendlies would take place this season in an effort to allow the newly re-laid pitch at Bloomfield Road to establish.

This friendly has been arranged due to the good relations between the clubs, defender Paul Tierney signing from Livi this summer and there is the possible signing of trailist Wes Hoolihan. The midfielder who has impressed on trial managed to grab a goal in the first game of the Latvian tour today. So a deal may have been cut for Hoolihan to come to the club with the arrangement of a pre-season match at Bloomfield Road? this is guess work but the Scots do love a day out in Blackpool.

The two sides met in a pre-season friendly back in 2002 at Bloomfield Road, Livi ran out 3-1 winners that day. The Pool goal that day came from Scott Taylor.

Pool lined up Barnes (Theoklitis), Jaszczun (Johnrose), Reid (Hughes), Clarke, Grayson, Hills, Wellens (Milligan), Collins (O'Kane), Bullock (MacKenzie), Taylor, Fenton (Walker).
