Miss out on Mullin

Mullin has signed a two year deal at Prenton Park rejoining manager Ronnie Moore whom he had worked under at Rotherham.

Mullin started his career at Burnley and moved to Sunderland in 1995, from there he was loaned out to Preston and back Burnley. He signed a permanent deal with the Clarets in 1999.

He then made a 150k move from Turf Moore to Rotherham, Moore the instigator of the deal. He went on to make 159 league starts for the Millers before being released at the end of last season.

It's a bitter disappointment for manager Simon Grayson to loose out on the midfielder but talks with midfield trio Marcus Bean, Keith Lasley and Neil Wood are thought to be on going.
