'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Done, Finally!!!

At around 16:30 today, after an EGM, Karl Oyston, along with Simon Grayson, Gavin Steele, Owen Oyston and the man himself Valeri Belokon, announced that the Latvian businesses man will become president of 'pool with a 20% stake in the club, bought for £4.5million.

Chairman Karl Oyston said the following statement: 'I am delighted to announce that following the EGM and board meeting this afternoon, Mr Valery Belokon has become a director and president of Blackpool Football Club with immediate effect. As part of this agreement Mr Belokon has agreed to invest a substantial amount of money into the football club and this investment will be used predominantly for team strengthening. We are all looking forward to working with Mr Belokon and his organisation and I am sure you will agree today marks the beginning of a new, exciting era for Blackpool Football Club.'

This is all well and good, but with news today surfacing that John Mullin from Rotherham may be signing, lets not all get too excited just yet. Hardly has the WOW factor that many expected. But, he hasn't yet signed, and after today Grayson may scrap that deal. I for one hope so.
