Evans captured

The former England Under-21 keeper rejected a new contract at Swindon Town and will remain in League One after he was relegated with Town last season.

Evans spent five years at Chelsea as a youngster but never made an appearnce for the current league champions. He did have loan spells at Bristol Rovers, Q.P.R. and Leyton Orient.

He joined Swindon, his hometown club, in the summer of 2003 and went onto make 118 league starts and 9 cup starts.

Dispite relgation at Swindon last year Evens picked up several Player of the Year awards.

Evens is set to sign a deal that will keep him at Bloomfeild Road for two seasons.

Hope he won't be an unlucky omen having been relegated with Swindon.

Don't get carried away with the signing he is an average goalkeeper.

A bit of a mixed reaction there Campbell, i spose the proof of the pudding, will be in the eating.
FEn_100
he will probably be goalie of the season for keeping the most amount of clean sheets now I have said he is average. I still won't miss him at swindon though.
red_gilly
Exactly FEn-100, it is always the same with any player some fans think they are god others think they are rubbish. personally I do not think Evans will be missed at swindon
