Pool 3 - 3 Gillingham

Pool took the lead early on thanks to Matthew Blinkhorn who volleyed home Parkers Cross.

Gillingham found themselves on level terms when the impressive Darren Byfeild knocked the equaliser from close range after Jones had pulled off a magnificent save.

The Gills took the lead for the first time in the afternoon when Byfield grabbed his second of the match in the second half. A neat turn and finished gave Jones no chance.

The Seasiders fought back, a goal from Keigan Parker got the Seasiders back on level terms. Parker found him self behind the gills defence after a corner and slotted home despite looking yards offside. Parker then gave Pool the lead again when he broke free of the defence and lobbed the keeper.

Unfortunately Gillingham spoiled the end of season party when former Pool loanee Michael Flynn slotted in to give a share of the spoils.

A pitch invasion before the final whistle did put a dampener on the affair but overall a good final day at the office for the Pool.
