Is This Where We Are Heading?

Is This Where We Are Heading?

As we broke the news two weeks ago that Valeri Belokon was going to invest heavily in the footballing side of the club, we didn't realise that it could actually be a takeover, which now seems possible.

A report in 'The Gazette' states that Karl Oyston could be ready to step down to a lesser role within the club, managing director, with Valeri Belokon moving into the hotseat as chairman. A deal has already been agreed and it will be publicly announced by the club as soon as the finer details are resolved.

And, the Blackpool chairman has also declared that Belokon isn't just in it for advertising, and he wants to make The Seasiders great once again.

Now this is all well and good, but, (you knew that was coming!) what will he bring to Bloomfield Road?

-'A substantial amount of cash into the team'. Which is much more than the £1million being speculated by sceptical fans and media.

-New players, and quality ones, with also some youngsters from the very impressive Latvia Under 21 team that performed well at The Europian Championships.

-A very astute business brain.

-And the posibility of a new manger.

Not that bad then! This seems to be the best think in years at the seaside and could see the good times rolling.
