'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hendry Will Not Quit

Colin Hendry admits his job is ultimately not in his hands, but he has no intention of stepping down despite Blackpool's poor run of form.

The Seasiders are already struggling in the league and the 4-1 defeat by Doncaster in the FA Cup has not helped matters for Hendry. Speaking after the Cup exit he said:

'Only the powers that be will decide whether I'm given time to turn it round but I believe I'm still the man to do that.

'I know as manager I have to take the flak but ultimately it's up to the players and we were diabolical for the first 20 minutes.

'We were fortunate to be only one goal down at half-time but we regrouped during the interval and came out fighting until a penalty decision knocked our confidence.

'The players accept they weren't good enough and they were gutted afterwards but it's up to me to pick them up for the next game.'
