Two for one deal
Vernon who's been out of favor for most of the season at the Seaside has joined Colchester United on load till the end of the season. And coming the other way is defender Sam Stockley and striker Gareth Williams.
Stockley, 29, can play at either full back position, starting his career at Southampton, he has since then played for Barnet and Oxford. His move to Oxford from Barnet included a £150 K fee. He's made 148 starts for the U's since arriving at Layer Road.
Williams, 23-year-old from Wales, started off at Crystal Palace, while at Palace he was shipped out to Colchester, Bournemouth and Cambridge on loan. His move to Layer Road became permanent in the deal which saw Wayne Andrews join Palace.
Both players are expected to be in the match squad for this weekend's game against Port Vale.
