'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Belokons back

Belokon is set to arrive in time for the Port Vale match on Saturday and will continue to thrash out talks about a possible deal, be that a takeover or the more likely offer of an investment. After weeks of no news on the possible takeover Oyston today talked to the Evening Gazette about the deal.

'It's not come to a halt and we are still very hopeful that they will make some kind of offer.

But Oyston was quick to also inform the supporters that nothing has been arranged for Friday's meeting regarding a deal and there is no timescale for a definite outcome to the ongoing talks.

'I don't want to raise people's expectations, though, and I can't predict what the Latvians will say when they arrive on Friday.

'Hopefully it will be another constructive meeting and we will continue to make progress.'
