Millers close in

Millers close in

An own goal by Chris Swailes on 20 minutes and then a late goal from Paul McLaren earned the Millers all three points at Millmoor. The win moves United into 21st place on 40 points, one point behind the Seasiders who are in 19th.

In the other League One game tonight saw Scunthorpe beat Hartlepool two at Glanford Park. Which leaves the Monkey Hangers in 17th place on 42 points, one more than the Seasiders.

It's still mightily close at the bottom of League One with 3 points separating 8 teams in places 16th to 23rd. Out of those 8 teams only Bournemouth have a better goal difference, -5, than Blackpool's goal difference of -7.
